Established agricultural machinery importing business, EuroAgri, changed hands late last year.

The new Directors, Mid Canterbury locals James McCloy, Jo Foster, and Alastair and Shirley Clemens, took the reins from Donald and Carol Williamson just prior to Christmas.

EuroAgri has developed a solid reputation in the twelve years it has been trading, not just for the quality equipment it has provided to farmers and contractors throughout the country, but also for the high level of service it delivers to each of its clients.

General Manager, James McCloy, says "The personal approach EuroAgri has become renowned for, is one aspect that drew us to the business in the first place; we are really looking forward to touching base with all our current clients and will certainly ensure customers continue to receive the quality interaction they have been accustomed to."

The business, which is based in Mid Canterbury, is an experienced dealer of European agricultural equipment, specifically the respected HE-VA, Bredal, Househam and Billericay brands. EuroAgri delivers equipment to numerous farmers and contractors around New Zealand. They carry a substantial number of parts, taking particular pride in “walking over hot coals to ensure our customers’ machines are kept running”.

James, General Manager; Mark Read, Sales Consultant; and Dalvyn Burrowes, Assembly have a wealth of experience in the field.

James has worked in industry-specific sales, service and managerial roles for a number of years, including a five-year stint as Branch Manager for a large cutting-edge agricultural machinery business.

He is also a qualified agricultural mechanic and a qualified assessor of agricultural apprentices (MITO).

Alistair and Shirley are progressive arable farmers, the former, with close to forty years of farming knowledge, brings invaluable contributions.

For the Williamsons, it is time to relax a little. EuroAgri certainly outgrew their expectations and they welcomed the opportunity to pass their company on to the new owners, happy that the considerable experience that the new owners bring to the business and feel that they are leaving it in very good hands.

EuroAgri specialises in specific brands and products and the new owners stress that they will not compromise on excellence.

"We have customers throughout New Zealand who are extremely happy with the equipment and service EuroAgri have provided in the past,” says James McCloy. “And our promise to our clients is that nothing will be compromised, we will only enhance and build on the excellence they have known."
