Working principle of the double overlap system

BREDAL’s unique headland spread system ensures complete and perfect distribution of the fertiliser from the headland into the field.

All the Bredal spreaders are equipped with 2 discs, which are geared up about 11% in proportion to the pto shaft. This means that the fertilizer is spread at high speed.

At 540 rpm at the pto the spreading speed is about 140 km/h and at 1000 rpm about 250 km/h.

If using ordinary fertilizers, it will be spread with at least double spreading width compared to the set working width. This is called double overlapp.
